Video: Brit Jam 2017 Draws Record Crowd

EAST HAMPTON, CT – It was a record turnout today for Brit Jam 2017, the annual vintage motorcycle show staged by the British Iron Association of Connecticut at the Haddam Neck Fairgrounds.

“We enjoy an incremental growth every year, and I think it’s because of a combination of things,” said Tom Reitsman, chairman of the association. “Word of mouth, no extra charge for vendors – so if you had an old bike and a handful of parts, you could always bring it here to try and find someone who is interested – and these old bikes have a lot of interest.

“It seems to be on the upswing, even with the younger generation, so it’s a phenomenal series of shows (in recent years). And, fortunately, the weather has been on our side for as long as anyone can remember.”

Reitsman talks more about the show and we hear from some owners in the video. (Re-edited video posted at 1:41 p.m. Aug. 21):
