CT Rider Gets First Motus In New England

HARWINTON, CT – After test riding an American-made Motus motorcycle during a demo day at Rocket Moto Sport in Nashua, NH in late June, Ernie Torizzo bit the bullet and ordered one. The Harwinton resident is now hoping that the sport bike arrives quickly so that Rocket Moto Sport can dispatch a few tweaks in time for a delivery on Saturday.

Torizzo will be the first Motus owner in New England. Factory-supplied pictures posted on Facebook on Friday night show a high-end, white Motus MSTR model partially wrapped on plastic in preparation for shipping from the manufacturer’s plant in Alabama.V4 engine - 2

“It kind of fills a void in my motorcycle experience,” said Torizzo, who primarily rides Ducati and BMW motorcycles. “I’m intrigued by the engine. I like the looks of it. It’s a nice looking motorcycle.”

The Motus is powered by a V4 “Baby Block” motor, which boasts 180 horsepower. It features an Ohlins monoshock and carbon fiber wheels – and retails for more than $30,000.

Torizzo is having Rocket Moto Sport add running lights and a more distinctive horn to the Motus MSTR before delivery.
