Fall Is Best Time to Ride

By Bud Wilkinson of RIDE-CT.com

If you didn’t ride over the weekend, you’d better have a damn good excuse. The sun was shining, the air was crisp and the leaves were changing. My only regrets yesterday morning were not grabbing my cold weather riding gloves and not putting on long underwear. It was chilly, but beautiful. Even managed to stray down a dirt road that I didn’t know existed. Autumn is always the best time to riding. Engines run smoother and there’s a greater sense of urgency and appreciation because the riding season will end soon. The accompanying picture is of friend Gary Randall aboard his vintage Triumph Bonneville. It was taken a couple of years ago, but captures what fall riding can be like. “The Citizen” of Laconia, N.H. has timely story  today on autumn riding that’s worth checking out.
