Triumph Scrambler An “Essential”

The current (March 2011) issue of the lifestyle magazine “Men’s Journal” has as its cover story “The New Essentials – 59 Tools and Toys You Can’t Live Without.” On the list and on the cover is a Triumph Scrambler, a seemingly unlikely choice as it’s hardly a new model and it hardly has a lot of power. The engine is a fuel-injected, 865cc parallel twin, but it is a cool retro bike. This year it comes in two colors – black and khaki green. With its high exhausts pipes, spoked wheels and white-trimmed seat, the Scrambler has a look that’s timeless. And you can bet it’s much more reliable than the original Triumph Scramblers.
