Does Victory Have Electric Plans?

Talk about moving quickly. It was less than a month ago that Polaris acquired the electric motorcycle business of Brammo, Inc., and already the company has a brand and model in mind.2014 Brammo Empulse

Polaris announced the deal on Jan. 15. Only 12 days later, on Jan. 27, it filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for the name “Victory Charger” under the category of “electric motorcycles and structural parts therefor.”

There’s no word on what the Charger might look like. Given Polaris’ approach to its Victory and Indian motorcycles, a gussied up version of an existing Brammo model (such as the Empulse shown above and below) but with Victory badging seems less likely than an all-new, battery-powered Victory.

Here’s a suggestion…

How about a smaller, more entry-level Victory model – either a cruiser or standard – that would be available in both gas and electric form. Good idea?
