Victory’s newest bagger, the 2016 Magnum X-1 that was unveiled Saturday night at Daytona Beach Bike Week, provides a way to be heard (besides loud exhaust pipes) thanks to a 200-watt, 10-speaker sound system that the company declares to be “our loudest bike ever.”
So loud is the audio system that the Magnum X-1’s web page says it “puts you center stage as the headliner of a rocket concert.” Don’t they mean “rock concert” instead? Providing the sound are six speakers in the fairing and four in the hard saddlebags.
The paint job on the Magnum X-1 is equally loud – gloss black and electric red striping. The Magnum X-1 is powered by Victory’s 1,731cc Freedom 106 engine and has a six-speed transmission. ABS is standard and there’s a 5.8-gallon gas tank.
Base price on the model is $24,499, which doesn’t include freight and set-up charges.
Victory has not said when the 2016 model will be in showrooms.
