Moto GP isn’t a sport that many riders follow in the U.S., but there no arguing that it’s a thrilling, dangerous spectacle. The new movie “Hitting The Apex,” which is presented, co-produced and narrated by Brad Pitt, chronicles the careers of six racers.
The film focuses on Casey Stone, Dani Pedrosa, Jorge Lorenzo, Valentino Rossi, Marc Marquez and Marco Simoncelli, who died at Sepang in 2011.
“Hitting The Apex” premieres next Friday at the British Grand Prix Moto GP at Silverstone, and will be released in selected theaters in the U.K. and Ireland on Sept. 2.
The movie’s trailer was released today:
– Bud Wikinson
Would have been nice to have an American included. Nicky Hayden won a championship which is more than can be said of Pedrosa. Other than that it looks good. Hope it makes it to the U.S.
Oops. Fumble fingers. Thanks for setting me straight.
Simon”c”elli – not Simonelli…….pls
Bring it to America l….please!
Long overdue for a realistic look behind the scenes of GP. I’m on the edge of my seat tense with stomach pains watching the races on TV, this movie will multiply that experience to the max. Can’t wait to see it in theaters and then own it on DVD..
