It’s on quiet days like this when RIDE-CT yearns for some really startling news, such as “Harley Announces Plans for 250cc Bike” or “Laconia Bows to Vegans, Bans Leather.” You get the idea. We’re in that “Never Land” between seasons where little is happening, except at the General Assembly where the Transportation Committee is holding another public hearing today on some motorcycle-related bills. The hearing starts at 10 a.m. On the agenda (again) are Bill No. 821, which would “prevent the operation of motorcycles with tail pipes that violate maximum legal noise limits,” and Bill. No. 6214, which would prohibit anyone from registering a motorcycle unless they had “a valid operator’s license that contains a motorcycle endorsement.” The Connecticut Motorcycle Riders Association is expected to present testimony (again).
