The snow from last weekend’s blizzard is slowly melting, but the predicted highs for the next 10 days are only in the 30s. The prospect of doing any riding in New England in near future is pretty dismal, making vicarious riding the only option. A video that went up yesterday on YouTube shows a ride through Winterset, IA, the birthplace of John Wayne and the location for the movies “The Bridges of Madison County” and “Cold Turkey.” Here’s what it looks like:

Lehman Trikes is using this weekend’s Dealer Expo in Indianapolis to introduce two re-designed trikes – the Renegade LLS for Harley-Davidson models and the Monarch II LLS for Honda GL 1800 models.
The “LLS” stands for Limited Lean Suspension. “The LLS models raise the bar for trike riding comfort and enjoyment,” said company vice president Terree Matson-McCoy.
The Monarch II LLS has standard reverse, while the Renegade LLS offers it as an option. Introductory MSRP is $8,745.

Harley-Davidson’s charitable giving in 2012 exceeded $4.5 million, with the primary beneficiaries being organizations in areas where factories are located – Milwaukee, Kansas City and York, PA.
Disabled American Veterans received $250,000 as part of a four-year grant of $1 million. Breast cancer groups received nearly $200,000, proceeds from the sale of Harley’s Pink Label Collection of apparel and accessories.
