It was back in late November that commercial fisherman Jeff Riedemann hooked a 1938 German motorcycle. It had been sitting on the bottom of Big Swan Lake in Minnesota for for 56 years – ever since 15-year-old Dean Allie went through the ice while joyriding. Riedemann gave the bike to trucker Ron Miller, to whom he sells carp, and Miller has now turned it into an unrestored show bike. Bonnie Bowman of 10/11 News has the story:
— Fans of the World Superbike race series, all two of you, may be unable to watch the telecasts this year. Hell for Leather reports that U.S. broadcast rights will transfer this year from Speed (soon to be re-branded under the Fox name) to the obscure BeIN Sport network. The network does plan to stream the races. — Some cops in Chicago have disbanded their motorcycle club after displaying patches that support an outlaw club. CBS Chicago has the story. — January came and went without the Kawasaki line being added by New England Cycle Center in Hartford. The Suzuki, Victory and Yamaha store had been expected to pick up the line following the closure of Midtown Kawasaki in Rocky Hill.
