If you’re headed to Harley-Davidson’s 110th anniversary celebration, haven’t booked a room yet and have deep pockets, The Iron Horse Hotel in Milwaukee is offering a VIP, seven-night stay for $9,900. That’s for double occupancy. Rick Barrett of the “Journal Sentinel” has details here on what the hotel is calling the “ultimate Harley experience.”
The hotel used to be a warehouse. It’s now a “one-of-a-kind” hotel that caters to riders, including secure parking and an on-site bike wash station.

On the subject of Harley, Motorcycle.com is reporting that the company plans to discontinue several models for the 2014 model year, including the Road Glide Custom, Road Glide Ultra, Electra Glide Classic, Road King Classic and the Softail Blackline.
Harley reportedly wants to reduce product overlap and reduce model complexity in showrooms. The website quotes a leaked memo as saying “Both Road Glide models are being discontinued for 2014MY to undergo planed designed refreshes,” which suggests they’ll return at a later date.
