The province of Manitoba in Canada in now formally listing the Hells Angels motorcycle club as criminal organization, the first government entity in North America to make that designation.
The largely procedural moves means that “police will no longer have to prove the motorcycle gang is a criminal organization at every court hearing,” according to the CBC, which has a story on Manitoba’s move here.
Accompanying the story is a “Profile” on Hells Angels, which says it has more than 5,000 members in over 400 chapters in more than 40 countries. In New England, there is a chapter in Bridgeport, CT, which has a website here. A chapter in Salem, MA has a website under development and a Facebook page here.
