New Harley Models – Dyna Low and Sportster 1200T

Updated at 1:30 p.m.: A press release has now been issued. Harley-Davidson is bringing back the Dyna Low Rider (pictured above) and coming out with a touring version of the Sportster dubbed the Superlow 1200T (pictured below).

Details on the new models as well as pictures have already been posted on Harley-Davidson’s website:

– The Sportster Superlow 1200T has a 26.13 inch seat height (laden) and a 4.2-inch 14-hd-superlow-1200t-2ground clearance. It comes with hard saddlebags, a quick-release windshield and five-spoke cast wheels. It weighs in at 598.82 pounds “in running order.”

Harley says, “Its ergonomics are calibrated to offer riders from 5’ 1” to 5’ 7” in height an easy reach to the ground, handlebar and foot controls. The SuperLow 1200T weighs 118 pounds less than the lightest Harley-Davidson Big Twin touring motorcycle.”

The bike is powered by a 73.4 cubic inch Evolution engine, has a five-speed gearbox and a 4.5 gallon teardrop gas tank.  The MSRP is $11,799 in black, $12,144 in another color and $12,234 in two-tone. 

– The Dyna Low Rider returns after a five-year absence. It sits even lower than the new Sportster at 25.4 inches (laden) and 14-hd-low-rider-1has a ground clearance of 4.13 inches. It has a “wrinkle black and chrome’ Twin Cam 103 engine. Indeed, the wrinkle black and chrome theme continues throughout the power train and console.

The bikes features “chunky mag wheels,” a two-into-one exhaust, a six-speed tranmission, a 4.7-gallon gas tank and optional ABS. The MSRP is $14,199 in black and $14,929 in two-tone.
