August Poll Examines Reading Habits

By Bud Wilkinson of RIDE-CT.com

Buying a new (used) bike has diverted attention for a few days (more on the acquisition in a future post), but results have finally been tabulated for July’s poll question and a new poll question for August has been posted.

July’s question revolved around a habit that most of us engage in – waving at approaching riders. An overwhelming majority of those voting – 63 percent – said they “Always” wave to oncoming riders, with 28 percent saying they wave when the approaching rider waves first. That means 91 percent of us are pretty friendly when it comes to acknowledging our fellow riders.

A mere four percent said they limit their waves to riders on the same brand or style of motorcycle, while five percent said they never wave.

Moving on to the August poll question…

Are you a regular reader of a motorcycle magazine? More than one magazine? Whether it’s info on new models or a writer worth following, reading motorcycle magazines is part of the riding experience.

The August poll question seeks to learn which mags are preferred? It’s OK to vote for more than one. And feel free to comment on why you like one magazine but maybe dislike another.
