It’s no secret that Billy Joel is a motorcycle enthusiast. He’s an avid rider and collector, who has been known to show up at vintage meets and blend in with the crowd. Last weekend, Joel rode into the Dania Beach Vintage Motorcycle Show in Florida. After admiring the display, he walked on to the stage where the local band The Whipping Post was playing and volunteered to join the jam. What band would ever refuse?

Rider coach and entrepreneur John Purdy Jr. has launched a website to promote his line of Rocketman Z-Me riding vests that are designed to make motorcyclists more visible. The vests come in different colors and can be personalized with custom graphics.
Purdy runs the Connecticut Rider Education Program courses at Naugatuck Valley Community College in Waterbury, CT and is a vocal proponent of the need for riders to be visible when out riding.
Purdy’s vest has the slogan “Church of 2 Wheels – Waste No Curve” across the back.
