KENT, CT – Black Friday shopping? No way! Not when the temperatures climbed into the 60s in southern New England. On a warm day like this, it was imperative to get in some late-season seat time because it might not happen again until April.
Not surprisingly, this destination hamlet attracted a bunch of riders. While it may be common to see motorcycles and Christmas decorations mingling in places like California, Arizona and Florida, it’s not so usual in New England, so RIDE-CT & RIDE-NewEngland had to snap some pics of the wreaths, garlands and bikes.
A common sight on the roadways were motorcycles with two riders aboard as couples enjoyed the day after Thanksgiving.
Suffice it to say that there were lots smiles on the faces of riders.
One particularly enjoyable aspect of today’s great weather was getting to ride Route 7 without the usual Sunday traffic. Of course, it was Friday. Black Friday. But, really, which made more sense – fighting the crowd at the mall or some two-wheeled therapy?
