With the release yesterday of the trailer to the upcoming Paramount Pictures action movie “Mission Impossible – Rogue Nation,” BMW was today crowing about its connection to the flick, which hits theaters on July 31.
Both BMW cars and motorcycles appear in “Mission Impossible – Rogue Nation,” which stars Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt.
In a press release, the company proclaimed, “This is the second time BMW has ‘accepted the mission’ to lend its superior technological support to the film’s production crew, enabling it to deliver breathtaking automotive stunt scenes shot around the globe.”

BMW previously partnered with Paramount on 2001 release “Mission Impossible – Ghost Protocol.”
While the trailer heavily emphasized motorcycle action, BMW’s press release gave short shrift to BMW Motorrad by merely noting that the “S 1000 RR … represents the ultimate performance on two wheels.”
Geez, did anyone in the PR department watch the trailer before writing the release?
