It belched a flame or two from its exhaust pipes and was so loud that some observers covered their ears, but to hear the road of Burt Munro’s 1920 Indian Scout at the Progressive International Motorcycle Show in New York over the weekend was a treat. RIDE-CT.com’s Steve Smith captured it on video:

– Mustang Motorcycle Products in Terryville, CT and Three Rivers, MA unveiled a fresh logo that customers saw for the first time at the motorcycle show.
– Ducati reported its highest North American sales in history in 2012 with 10,883 units being sold. Sales were up 21 percent, including 21 percent in the U.S., 25 percent in Canada and seven percent in Mexico.

– It’s old news, but… An Indiana woman called the cops last year when a memorial bench that consisted of a concrete seat mounted between two motorcycle rear ends went missing from a cemetery in Kokomo. It wasn’t a case of theft, though. The cemetery had removed it because the bench was making it tough to sell nearby plots. The “Kokomo Perspective” has the story here.
