In other new model news for 2016:
2016 Honda CBR500R
Honda has redesigned the CBR500R for 2016. The company says the model features “all-new styling that offers a sharper, more aggressive look and improved airflow for increased rider comfort and better handling, plus refinements like LED headlights and taillights. Other updates include a new muffler design for improved mass centralization, lighter weight and an improved exhaust note, plus an adjustable front brake lever, smoother gear-change feel, a larger fuel tank with a hinged fuel cap and front suspension with adjustable preload.”
The CBR500R will come in three colors: red, matte black metallic and white. It will be in showrooms in early 2016.
Meanwhile, Kawasaki plans more versions of its 649cc Vulcan S model for 2016, adding SE and Cafe editions. The MSRPs are $7,999 and $7,599, respectively. The Cafe version will have a tinted wind deflector and custom paint. The SE will have two-tone paint scheme.
It’s not clear from the article whether the Havoc motorcycles are actually supposed to run. The manufacturer’s web site doesn’t offer much information, either. Big engines, upward of 2000 cc, but the output isn’t given. Weight of the bikes? Not mentioned. However, there is a description of the 800W sound system. Interesting wheel sizes, 26″ front, 18″ rear, I bet that leads to some great handling. I look forward to encountering one of these on the road (well, maybe in a parking lot).
