Concours Shows Off Motorcycles

By Bud Wilkinson of RIDE-CT.com

This weekend’s Fairfield County Concours d’Elegance in Westport may emphasize cars with 200 extraordinary examples, but motorcycles are getting some exposure, too. More than 20 bikes will be exhibited, including a “barn find” 1938 Indian Scout, a 1990 BMW K1, a 1937 Brough Superior and a 1915 Harley-Davidson owned by Buzz Kanter, publisher of “American Iron” and “RoadBike” magazines. Kanter rode the Harley in the Motorcycle Cannonball Endurance Run from North Carolina to California. The eighth annual concours is being staged at the Fairfield County Hunt Club and is open to the public. Admission is $10 on Saturday and $30 on Sunday. The event benefits The Drive to Treat Autism Fund.
