One of the first RIDE-CT columns written for “The Republican-American” back in September 2005 was about Jack Potter, a Torrington, CT motorcyclist who had been riding since 1948. Jack was 78 years old at the time. What developed was a warm acquaintanceship. We’d occasionally bump into each other while out riding. Over the years, we’ve traded periodic emails. Knowing Jack has enriched the riding experience for me.
This morning, I checked my email and found a pleasant surprise from Jack. He provided a link to a new documentary about two geezers who ride in the dirt. I don’t use the word “geezer” as a pejorative, rather as a celebration of their durability and skill. It’s called Fifty Years of Kicks and it’s done by motojournalism.com. I’ve only managed to watch about six minutes of the 19-minute video so far, but it certainly is a feel-good effort. Take the time to check it out…
Link doesn’t work.
