What do you get when you mix a Multistrada with a Hypermotard? Ducati’s answer is the Hyperstrada (above), which was unveiled yesterday at the EICMA international show in Milan. The bike’s purpose is long-distance adventure touring and features a 110-horsepower, 821cc motor, as do two other newly-redesigned models – the Hypermotard and Hypermotard SP (below).
All three bikes come with three riding modes. The Hypermotard and the Hyperstada offer Sport, Touring and Urban. Sport and Touring provide 110 horsepower, while Urban trims the horses to 75. The Hypermotard SP offers Race and Sport, with 110 horsepower each, and Wet with 75.
U.S. pricing is $11,995 for the Hypermotard, $14,695 for the Hypermotard SP and $13,295 for the Hyperstrada.
Also new from Ducati is a fresh version of the Diavel. Dubbed the Duavel Strada (below), it’s designed for touring with a high windscreen, side cases, higher handlebars and heated grips.
MSRP on the Diavel Strada is $19,495. It is one of five Diavel models offered for 2013.
Lastly, Ducati is introducing the 1199 Panigale R (below) to its superbike cluster. The top-of-the-range model will sell for $29,995.
