Ducati set a new sales record in 2014 by delivering 45,100 motorcycles, a two percent increase from 2013. It marked the fifth consecutive year of growth for the Italian company.
Ducati reported that North American sales were “in line with that of 2013,” but reported an eight percent increase in sales in Mexico, which suggests growth was not evident in the U.S. The company said, “The U.S. continues to be Ducati”s top market, with 8,804 units delivered to customers.”
The introduction of the Monster 1200 and Monster 821 helped Ducati, with overall Monster sales worldwide increasing by 31 percent in 2014 to 16,409 bikes In the superbike category, sales increased 74 percent thanks to the success of the 899 Panigale (pictured), which sold 5,806 units.
