EBR is adding dealers in the region. Among the newcomers now listed on EBR’s website are Shark Cycle in Stafford Springs, CT; Razee Motorcycle Center in North Kingstown, RI; and Erik Buell Racing LI in St. James, NY. EBR now has 68 dealers nationally in 30 states, including eight in New England and eastern New York. That’s up from the “more than 60 local dealers across 26 states” that were announced as founding dealers back in February.
Shark Cycle owner Bob Charland said this afternoon that the deal to become an EBR dealer was only finalized earlier this week. “We know that Buell was super popular,” he said, referring the previous motorcycle brand of Erik Buell that Harley-Davidson bought and later folded.
EBR is Buell’s latest effort. “They are the only American superbike manufacturer,” said Charland, noting that EBR race bikes are having success on the track. “They’re doing very well,” he said.
EBR’s flagship 2014 model is the 1190 RX. It’s now in dealer showrooms, and Shark Cycle hopes to have its first shipment within two weeks. The 1190 RX is a sport bike powered by an 1,190cc V-twin engine that puts of 185 horsepower and weighs in at 419 pounds. It comes in three colors – yellow, red and black – and has an MSRP of $18,995.
