Kent Levack of Middletown Motorcycle Mania reports that Trotta will greet fans at the CherryBerry frozen yogurt bar at 423 Main St. prior to the event, will hand out some trophies during the rally, and be at Eli Cannon’s Tap Room, 695 Main St. afterward.

An expanding list of participants has resulted in a name change for the upcoming New England Trike Talk Rally. It has been re-dubbed the North East Trike Talk.com Rally to reflect the fact trikers from New York and Pennsylvania have now registered to attend.

At last count, nearly 60 riders and passengers plan to attend the Aug. 23-24 event, which will be based in Torrington, CT with the Quality Inn serving as rally headquarters. Organizer John Luciano estimates the event will pump $15,000 into the city’s economy.

Trike Talk.com serves the “Trike Enthusiast Community.” For more info on the North East rally, contact Luciano at lucky13@snet.net.

On a personal note, thanks to everyone who has expressed condolences to me and, more importantly, to the family of friend and rider Gary Randall, who died Wednesday after suffering severe head injuries in a horrific crash on Monday evening in Litchfield, CT. This week has been a nightmare and all of the emails and posts of support and sympathy at facebook.com/ridect have meant a lot.
