H-D Gets $2.6+ Million Order from NYC

New York City plans on buying at least 100 new Harley-Davidson motorcycles to replenish its police fleet in a deal that will reap the company more than $2.6 million. The police 1-Harley police bikedepartment routinely uses Road Kings and Electra Glides to keep the streets safe and to provide escort services.

N.Y.P.D. officers have ridden Harleys since the late 1950s. The department’s last big order was in 2007 when $945,000 worth of bikes were purchased.
