Harley-Davidson is recalling 185,272 motorcycles from the 2014 and 2015 model years to replace saddlebag mounting receptacles that “may not adequately secure the saddlebags to the motorcycle” – meaning the bags could fall off while riding.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that Harley-Davidson will notify owners and dealers will replace the receptacles with updated ones free of charge. The recall is expected to begin on Monday.

– Street Glide Special (FLHXS)
– Electra Glide Ultra Classic (FLHTCU)
– Ultra Limited (FLHTK)
– Police Road King (FLHP)
– Police Electra Glide (FLHTP)
– CVO Ultra Limited (FLHTKSE)
From 2014:

And from 2015:
– Electra Glide Ultra Classic Low (FLHTCUL)
– Ultra Limited Low (FLHTKL)

Motorcycles produced by Harley-Davidson starting on May 26, 2015 were built with the new mounting receptacle.
