Helmet Law’s Repeal Should Bring Bikers Back

By Bud Wilkinson of RIDE-CT.com

The overturning of a controversial city helmet law in Myrtle Beach, S.C. by the state Supreme Court is expected to bring bikers back to the Grand Strand for the Cruisin’ the Coast Spring Bike Rally, which runs Friday through May 22. “The Charlotte Observer” reports more riders are expected to attend this year. The story is posted here.

What brands come to mind when you hear the words “electric motorcycle?” It’s OK if none did, but two companies – Brammo and Zero – are designing and selling on-road and off-road bikes that don’t require gas. The big news this past week is that Brammo has now developed an electric that has a clutch and multispeed transmission – with six gears – that will enable it to do wheelies. “The New York Times” has the story here.
