Honda Unveils More 2012 Models

Honda’s out today with some more new and/or revised models for 2012. While there’s nothing totally new for the U.S. market – like a CB1100, for instance, that’s available in other parts of the world – there is stuff worth talking about.

Let’s start with the CBR1000RR superbike, which gets a revamped suspension, wheels, instruments and body panels. It will be in showrooms in December with a base price of $13,800. A C-ABS version will cost $14,8000.

Honda’s Shadow lineup of four 750cc cruisers gets tweaked, too. The chain-driven Shadow RS has higher footpegs to improve ground clearance. There’s a new color – candy blue, which happens to be the only color the RS will come in. The estimated mpg is impressive at 56, but it only has a 2.6 gallon tank. Seat height is 29.5 inches and weight is 503 pounds. It’s out in December with an MSRP of $8,240.

Other Shadow models include the Shadow Phantom, the Shadow Aero, and the Shadow Spirit 750 C2, which are all chain-driven. Also back for 2012 will be the Fury chopper and the heavy cruisers the Sabre, Stateline and Interstate (pictured) as well as the sport tourer ST1300, the CBR600, and the entry level Rebel.
