Honda Unwraps New Models for 2014

By Bud Wilkinson of RIDE-CT.com

Honda this morning unwrapped some models for 2014 in a new CTX line. The initials stand for Comfort, Technology and eXperience and the 670cc parallel twins feature lightweight handling, a low center of gravity and “Urban Roadster” styling. They are the CTX700 (shown above in red), CTX700D, CTX700N and the CTX700ND (show here in black).

If I can sort through Honda’s rather confusing press release, two of the new models – the CTX700D and CTX700ND, come with an automatic Dual Clutch Transmission and ABS. Seat height on all is a low 28.3 inches.

The new models seem squarely aimed a such competition models as Suzuki’s V-Strom 650 and Kawasaki’s Versys. They will be available in the spring. MSRP is $6,999 for the CTX700N, $7,799 for the CTX700,  $7,999 for the CTX700ND and $8,799 for the CTX700D.
