Husqvarna in Thomaston

By Bud Wilkinson of RIDE-CT.com

If you’re old enough, think “Dragnet” for a moment. I was working the day watch out of traffic control. That’s fancy way of saying I got to direct traffic yesterday at the entrance to the Harwinton Fair in my uniform as a member of the Harwinton Fire Police. After the job was completed, I did a patrol of the grounds to nab some fried dough and came upon a display tent by Roost Power Sports of Thomaston. I knew Roost sold used off-road bikes and ATVs, but at the front of the tent were two new Husqvarna motocycles, which were built in Italy. Owner Jason Pinette soon told me that Roost acquired the Husqvarna line of enduro, motocross, supermotard and dual purpose bikes a few months ago, and noted that the brand is owned by BMW. He said he’s been pleased with the support BMW has provided so far and there was no mistaking the fit and finish of the bikes on display. We’re planning to connect soon so that RIDE-CT can test a Husqvarna and report more on Pinette’s operation.
