MINNEAPOLIS, MN – Indian today introduced a new, less expensive and less flashy member to its Chief line of heavyweight cruisers. Dubbed the Chief Dark Horse, the 2016 model will have a starting MSRP of $16,999, which is $2,400 less than the Chief Classic.
Indian says the Chief Dark Horse “is understated with only a flash of chrome and adds a healthy dose of matte black paint…”
Powered by the Thunder Stroke 111 engine, the model has “ABS, a remote key fob for key-less ignition, electronic cruise control, and features a two-year unlimited mileage factory warranty.”
The company press release continues, “Built to be an aggressive solo ride, the Dark Horse loses the oil cooler, analogue fuel gauge and driving lights of Chief Classic.”
A variety of accessories will be available, including “ape hanger handlebars, accessory air cleaners, fender struts, slip-on exhaust with black heat shields and exhaust tips, and black fender trim help create the fully blacked-out look.”
The Chief Dark Horse will be in dealer showrooms soon.
Wow, that looks good. Although I’d worry at night about being seen. That thing looks real good though.
