Is Ducati’s “Air Bike” Contest Worth The Effort?

By Bud Wilkinson of RIDE-CT.com

Ever played air guitar to your favorite song? Who hasn’t?

Even ridden an “air bike” for fun? Probably not. You’ve probably never even had the idea of riding an air bike, probably because there’s a real one parked in the garage.

Well, Ducati has just launched the Ducati Air Bike Challenge. It’s a contest. Record a video Ducati airbikeof yourself riding a Ducati air bike, post it on YouTube and submit it to Ducati.

The winner of this global contest will receive tickets and paddock passes to an upcoming Moto GP race. The winner will, unfortunately, have to pay for transportation to the race as well as for lodging and food.

Oh, and by submitting an entry, every participant surrenders all of the intellectual property rights and image rights to Ducati.

Does this sound like a good deal to you? Or something that’s even worth the effort? Geez, wouldn’t you think a company as valuable as Ducati could afford something more than measly tickets and paddock passes? To get full details and to enter, click here.
