Results of RIDE-CT.com’s June poll have been tabulated and nearly half of those voting – 49 percent – believe that loud exhaust pipes are obnoxious.
Readers were given six choices to complete the line “Do you think loud exhaust pipes are…” and were allowed to make more than one selection. The answer “Are obnoxious” was the top vote-getter, followed by “Hurt the image of riders,” chosen by 41 percent of voters.
Tying for third place were “Should be banned” and “Are a non-issue and everyone should lighten up,” which got 17 percent of the votes each.
In last place were “Save lives” and “Improve the sound” with 15 percent each.
