WATERBURY, CT – Land N’ Sea Powersports, which operated as Land N’ Sea Marine for most of its 28 years in business, has now added motorcycles to its offerings by signing on as a Kawasaki dealer.
“It took about a year and a half but we just got bikes in last week,” owner Bob Tiso said today. His goal is to fill a gap in the motorcycle landscape.
“Everybody else has closed,” he said, referring to other Kawasaki dealers in the area that have gone out of business in recent years, notably Willow’s Motorsports in Cheshire, Mid-Town Kawasaki in Rocky Hill and Canton Cycles in Winsted.
Both on-road and off-road Kawasaki models are now on the showroom floor. “I think I ordered 38. We got 20 in three days ago,” said Tiso, who admitted to being a bit “overwhelmed” at the prospect of expanding his product line beyond BRP and Polaris products.
“The Ninjas, the big bikes are getting me a little nervous. We need people to know who we are. It’s going to take time,” he said.
