MILAN, Italy – A smaller Multistrada and two more Scrambler models are on the way from Ducati for 2017. The Italian manufacturer used the EICMA show to introduce the Multistrada 950 as well as the Scrambler Desert Sled and Scrambler Cafe Racer today.
The 2017 Multistrada 950 is a sport touring model that’s powered by the 937cc motor. It claims 113 horsepower and has four riding modes- touring, sport, urban and enduro. Seat height just tips 33 inches and it has a five gallon gas tank.
The Multistrada 950 has ABS and traction control, and a maintenance interval of 9,000 miles. MSRP is $13,995 in red and $14,195 in white.
The 2017 Scrambler Desert Sled takes Ducati’s Scrambler line in a new direction – off-road, seriously. With an 803c engine and switchable ABS, the Desert Sled has a 19-inch wheel up front and a 17 inch wheel in the rear. Seat height is nearly 34 inches. It will come in red and white. Base price is $11,395.
The 2017 Scrambler Cafe Racer is designed as a throwback to the 1960s. This version has 17-inch wheels front and rear, and rear-view mirrors mounted on the ends of the aluminum handlebar. It comes in black with gold wheels. The engine is 803cc delivering 75 horsepower. The maintenance interval is 7,500 miles. Base price is also $11,395.
