January’s poll question(s) got a divided response from RIDE-CT.com voters, with only half of those casting ballots liking the idea of Harley-Davidson building a model smaller than the Sportster.
A total of 50 percent approved the idea of Harley building something sporty like an XR750, while only 10 percent thought Harley should build an entry-level cruiser.
That’s hardly overwhelming support for Harley making a move to cater to new riders.
The question was posed because of Harley’s Rider’s Edge training program. The program has used small Buell bikes for training purposes, but Harley shut down Buell a few years ago and really needs an entry-level bike. How would it look to be teaching using 250cc Honda Rebels?
For February, an easy poll question that simply asks, “How many motorcycles do you own?”
