New Reality Show “#BikerLive”

Discovery has a new motorcycle reality show premiering at 10 p.m. (ET) on Monday called “#BikerLive.” The first installment goes to the “Heart of Dixie” where three “backyard motorcycle builders” are given $15,000 and five weeks to build their dream bikes. The teams are Shop 102, Harlot Cycles and 40 Cal:bikerlive-about-the-show-300x400

Shop 102 is located in Marietta, GA. It’s owned by Chad Pecchi, who is joined by fabricator Matt Sassman and engine specialist Rob Thomas. Discovery’s profile of the crew says “watching the guys at Shop 102 work is like watching the Three Stooges.”

Harlot Cycles is in Murfreesboro, TN and is run by Nate Jacobs out of his home garage. The staff includes his childhood friend and welder/fabricator Buck Howard and apprentice Jenn “Sweet” Brown. Nate formerly ran Billy Lane’s operation.

40 Cal is in Alcoa, TN and consists 0f owner Matt Harris, his father Edd, and builders Andrew “Carp” Carpenter” and Chase Anderson.

Viewer Tweets will determine the winner of the competition. More info on “#BikerLive” can be found here.

The unanswered question is: Can’t TV come up with a fresh idea involving motorcycles; why always biker build-offs?
