Redline Powersports, the new motorcycle accessories and service store in Winsted, will holds its grand opening on Saturday. The store is located in the building that formerly housed Canton Cycles at 70 S. Main St. (when Route 8 runs into Route 44). Owner Shannon Fry has been busy this week setting up the showroom, and potential customers have already been coming in. That’s a good sign!

Members of the Law Dogs Motorcycle Club honored the memory of longtime member Christopher “Rhino” Russo on Tuesday with a post-funeral procession from Our Lady of Loreto Church in Waterbury to the group’s clubhouse on the second floor of the VFW post in Naugatuck. The Law Dogs draws its membership from law enforcement and Russo, a former Waterbury resident who died Feb. 14 in Port Richey, Fla. at age 58, was a corrections officer for the state for 22 years.  Russo had asked that the club remember him with a wings and pizza party and the club obliged, with two-dozen riders taking part in the procession.

Law Dogs’ member Ray Soucy piloted a police edition Can-Am Spyder trike, while passenger and Russo friend Patty Ferraiolo held a poster-sized picture of Russo during the ride. The Law Dogs also held a short ceremony in Russo’s honor at the clubhouse.
