Revised Triumph Tiger Gets “Sport” Name

By Bud Wilkinson of of RIDE-CT.com

British biker-maker Triumph today announced a model makeover for 2013 with the Tiger 1050 becoming the Tiger Sport. The adventure bike gets new bodywork, revised rider and passenger ergonomics, and a 10 horsepower power boost to 123 horsepower.

Triumph reports the new model now has a single-sided swingarm and the suspension has been upgraded “for sharper cornering.”

What else is new? Larger panniers, better fuel consumption and four reflector-type headlights to name just three items. The Tiger Sport is due to go on sale in the U.K. in March. No word on the U.S. and no word on price.
