RIDE-CT spent the Memorial Day weekend in Washington, attending Rolling Thunder and visiting some of the memorials dedicated to those who gave their lives for our country. The procession of hundreds of thousands of motorcycles lasted for nearly three hours and created a background roar for the nearly two miles of The Mall between the U.S. Capitol and the Lincoln Memorial.
Visiting the Vietnam War Memorial was a moving experience, and thousands did on Sunday afternoon.
Having a father who served in France and Germany during World War II made the World War II Memorial a required stop.
RIDE-CT even ran into some Connecticut riders – Normand and Dina Viel of Torrington and Andy and Melissa Kapuscinski of Colebrook. This picture was taken at the Korean War Memorial.
