PLAINVILLE, CT – The showroom at used motorcycle dealer and repair shop Powerhouse Motorsports at 151 East Street in Plainville stands empty, except for a vintage Indian police trike, a few motorcycle jackets hanging on a rack and a table surrounded by chairs. A large paper sign hanging in the window declares “Commercial Property For Sale/Lease.”
When Powerhouse Motorsports exited isn’t known. The store’s most recent post on Facebook was on Nov. 15, 2025. RIDE-CT was alerted to the situation by a Facebook post on Saturday on the CT Motorcycle Rides and Events page. Alex Gonch inquired about the store’s status.

Neither the dealership’s website nor Facebook page mention the store’s closure. A visit to the Plainville location this morning confirmed the empty showroom and sign in the front window.
While some commenters have speculated on the cause of the closure, RIDE-CT was unable to find any official statement regarding the the business’ exit and plans to email the address listed on the store’s website in hopes of finding additional information.
