WEST SPRINGFIELD, MA – With rain in the forecast for Saturday, a logical place to escape to is the 11th annual Springfield Motorcycle Show at the Eastern States Exposition. Numerous dealers will be showing off new models and vendors will have gear. There will also be a vintage display by the Antique Motorcycle Club of America, a custom bike build-off, a fashion show, a tattoo competition and music.
Appearing both days will be motorcycle stuntman and jumper Doug “Doug Danger” Senecal, who lives in Wales, MA. He set a Guinness World Record in August by jumping over 22 cars in Sturgis, S.D. on a 1972 Harley-Davidson XR-750 once owned by Evel Knievel. A story about the jump is posted on the Worcester newspaper’s Telegram.com website.
The hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. today and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. tomorrow. Admission is $15 for adults and $5 for children age six to 12. RIDE-CT will be there on Saturday.
