The showroom floor looked suspiciously empty of new motorcycles when RIDE-CT stopped in New Milford Cycles a few weeks ago, but owner Carl Kaffeman was too busy to talk. Now comes confirmation this morning from Kaffeman that the Honda-Kawasaki dealership at 571 Danbury Road (Route 7) in New Milford is closing. Its last day will be March 31. The dealership’s website has already apparently been deactivated. “Thanks to all of New Milford Cycles’ loyal and fun-loving customers. It’s been a blast,” Kaffeman said.
This is truly a shame. Carl has always been informative and helpful to the motorcycle community. His shop closing is just one more victim of the economy.
