Victory Is Recalling Various 2014 Models

Victory is recalling certain 2014 model-year motorcycles due to insufficient crankcase clearance that might result in an engine seizure. Included in the recall are thecross-roads-8-ball-p2 the Cross Country, Country Country Eight Ball, Hammer Eight Ball, High Ball, Jackpot, Judge, Ness Cross Country, Vegas Eight Ball, Vision, Boardwalk and Gunner models.  A total of 872 motorcycles made between Jan. 22 and April 25 of this year are affected.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports, “The crankcase may have been machined incorrectly causing insufficient clearance between the crankshaft and crankcase, causing the engine to unexpectedlty seize.” Owners are being notified and are being asked not to the ride bikes until they’ve been checked out  by a dealer.
