NEW HAVEN, CT – New Haven Powersports isn’t a Zero dealer, but the California manufacturer of electric motorcycles nonetheless plans to bring three demo models to 143 Whalley Ave. on Saturday to allow curious riders to go for a ride. The visit is also designed to convince New Haven Powersports that adding the Zero line wouldn’t be such a bad idea.
Currently, there’s only one Zero dealer in all of New England – Great Bay Motorcycles in North Hampton, NH. The only dealer close to riders in southern New England is Rockwell Cycles in Fort Montgomery, NY. Hence, the effort by Zero to recruit dealers while exposing the product.
Zero plans to bring its max performance Zero SR, which boasts 0-60 mph in 3.3 seconds; its Zero DS dual sport; and its Zero FX “stealthfighter” model, which has a retail price of $8,495. MSRP for the Zero DS is $11,995 and for the Zero SR is $15,995.
Demo hours at New Haven Powersports will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. Reservations may be made on Zero’s website.
