Zero Motorcycles Visit New England Cycle Center

To recall a line from the musical “My Fair Lady,” as delivered by Prof. Henry Higgins, “Damn, damn, damn, damn.”

Reps from Zero Motorcycles made a quick trip to Connecticut and New England Cycle Center in Hartford this evening to show off their electric bikes and RIDE-CT wrangled a last-minute invitation to come inspect them and take one for a quiet spin. Unfortunately, and here’s where the multiple “damns” come into play, there was no way to rush to the dealership on short notice.

In a phone message, Zero’s Mike Cunningham reported, “Our purpose for being there is to meet with them, show them our vehicles and discuss potential dealership opportunities.” After visiting New England Cycle Center, Cunningham emailed, “They seemed impressed.”

Depending on the model and the way it’s ridden, Zeros street bikes have a per-charge range of anywhere from 28 to 114 miles. Certainly would have been fun trying one out. The plan is to try to connect with Cunningham tomorrow for more info.

Moto Guzzi has come up with a new website that highlights the heritage of the brand called Moto Guzzi Originals.

“For more than 90 years, Moto Guzzi has designed and crafted innovative, comfortable category-defining motorcycles that attract customers who are true originals – just like their ride of choice,” said Piaggio Group America vice president of market Mellisa R. MacCaull.

“We want Moto Guzzi Originals to be an inspiration for the next generation of riders as well as anyone who values the timeless appeal of brands and products that stand apart thanks to their originality and high quality craftsmanship.”

A lot of PR spin in those comments, sure, but styling-wise Moto Guzzis do certainly stand out from the pack.

Just in case you haven’t been trolling dealer websites and noticed… The newest Victory model, The Judge, is now arriving in showrooms.
