A 44-year-old California firefighter rode his Yamaha Super Tenere motorcycle 2,428 miles from San Diego to Jacksonville, FL in 45 hours this week to help the non-profit group Friends of NICU buy a motor home to enable parents of premature babies stay close to them as hospitals. It’s always good to see when justice triumphs in cases where a rider is killed by negligent driver. A 24-year-old Nebraska woman was sentenced to six to 10 years in prison Friday after being found guilty of manslaughter for a crash last September that killed a 54-year-old rider.
