Harley’s “Freedom Jacket” On Worldwide Journey

As part of its 110th anniversary celebration, Harley-Davidson has enlisted riders from all over the globe to take a single black jacket – the “Freedom Jacket” – on a worldwide adventure. The jacket is passing from rider to rider and the riders are sharing their experiences on Harley’s website.

So far the jacket has been to the Austrian alps, to Brazil and Mexico and even the good ol’ U.S.A.  Coming up on the jacket’s itinerary are visits to India, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Rome.

RIDE-CT.com yesterday mentioned some proposed bills in CT. In Nebraska, a lawmaker has introduced a bill that will make it illegal for any child under eight to ride on a motorcycle. Sen. Bill Avery introduced the bill Monday. Arkansas requires that child riders be at least eight years old. Hawaii says passengers must be at least seven, while Louisiana, Texas and Washington mandate that they must be at least five.
