Some 46 years after it was stolen from the backyard of its owner in Nebraska, U.S. Customs and Border Protection last week recovered a black and blue 1953 Triumph Tiger 100. It was found at the Port of Los Angeles where it was on its way to Japan.
The bike originally cost $300, but its current value as listed in the shipping documents is $9,000. The bike’s original owner, who reported it missing in February 1967, still lives in Omaha, NE. Donald DeVault is now 73 and has a Harley-Davidson and Kawasaki in his garage.
